When Rob West found himself living in Melbourne as a young man, he eventually decided nothing could beat his hometown of Adelaide. His decision to move back home proved to be the stepping stone to one of the great Adelaide business success stories: The Chairman.
Walco Liners & Covers
Walco Liners & Covers was founded in 1975 but wasn’t taken on by the Wormalds until 1981. Current owner Stephen Wormald came onboard in 1987 when he became involved full time with the Adelaide manufacturer of pool covers, pool liners, solar blankets, van liners, and more.
Terry Kallis
Terry Kallis knows there’s more than one way to skin a cat! In fact, it’s this philosophy that led to his success as founder and developer of Kallis & Co. When people ask Terry what he does, he wryly replies, “I skin cats.” However, what he actually does is incubate energy projects, developing them from a concept to pre-feasibility, and then bring in partners to fund the projects for development.
